  1. Press and hold the Ctrl and Alt keys then press the Delete key (simultaneously) to open the Windows Security window.
  2. Under Logon Information it will say:  You are logged on as <Domain or Computer Name>\Username.  You only have to provide the username.  For example, if it says “You are logged on as “ABCCORP\JDOE”, you only have to provide us with “JDOE”.

Find Your Windows Vista/7/8 Operating System Username

  1. Press and hold the Ctrl and Shift keys then press the Escape key (simultaneously) to open the Task Manager window.
  2. Click on the Users tab.  The username will be located in the User column.  Provide the username that is listed as “Active” in the Status column.  For example, you would provide “JDOE” as the user below.
